Here's what you missed if you started celebrating Thanksgiving early =)

AP Stat - Project Rubric

In case you find it helpful (and my deepest apologies for not providing this sooner), here is the grading rubric that I will be using to grade your projects.  There may be some minor adjustments made with the points to account for the 2-minute oral presentations, but this is the essence of it~

AP Stat - HW #6 (due Tuesday, 11/23)

Here is the last HW assignment before the Thanksgiving holiday:

  • Ch. 15 #32, 36, 38.  For 10 points bonus, #45 (show ALL work clearly).
Projects are due on Tuesday (don't forget to e-mail it to my Gmail), and be prepared for a 2-minute presentation during class!

AP Stat - Directions for finding Se in Fathom

While a bit drawn out, here are the steps you can follow to find Se, along with other statistical attributes needed for your project (in case you haven't already figured out how to do so).

AP Stat - HW #5 (due Friday, Nov. 19)

Don't forget that we have a long quiz (~45 minutes) on Friday!

  • Ch. 15 #9, 15, 17, 24, 35, 37, 40, 42

Precal Test Review 7.4 - 8.2 (updated: solutions added)

Our first major test of the 3rd six weeks is this coming Thursday/Friday, November 18/19.  Here is the review (visit your teacher in tutorials for solutions):

AP Stat - HW #4 (due Wednesday, Nov. 17)

For credit, work must be shown and answers must be given in probability notation.

  • Ch 14 (13c, 18b, 24, 27d, 28, 33)
  • Ch 15 (4, 8, 10, 11, 14, 21)
On Wednesday, there will be a short (~15 minutes) solo quiz over Chapter 14 ONLY.

On Friday, we will have a larger quiz (~45 minutes) on Chapters 14 and 15.  This may or may NOT be a group quiz (since there is no major test until after Thanksgiving, this may end up being a solo quiz).

Projects are due next Tuesday (and not this Friday as was previously announced)... but don't slack!!!

AP Stat - if your data are linear (or totally chaotic)

Here is the data for those of you that have data that are either...
a) linear
b) totally chaotic and lacking ANY sort of discernible pattern.

FYI, the graphs for the straightening of this data set are NOT due on Monday's data/graphs deadline.  This simply needs to be turned in with the final project, which is due next TUESDAY, November 23 (note the adjustment to the due date).

And if you missed class, here is the worksheet that we worked on in groups at the end of class:

AP Stat - HW #12: no homework this time

Since we just had a test, and since it's the end of the six weeks, let's make this one easy.

No homework due on Friday.

We will probably make up for it in class on Friday though, as we start into chapter 10~

AP Stat - HW #11 (due Weds., Nov. 3)
