Precal - Chapter 1 Test Review

Our first test of the year is on Wednesday, September 8, and will cover sections 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.7, and 1.10 (which are the sections that we have covered thus far). Here is the review sheet for the test, which is due on the 8th.

Since we haven't fully covered the different types of sampling, ignore the last italicized portion of HW #2:

Design 4 data collection methods to determine what MHS students think about student parking lottery by using each of 4 different sampling methods (SRS, stratified, cluster, systematic) assign type of methods covered in class

As such, the homework is the two problems from pg. 267, along with the Radio Coupons Worksheet, and the reading.

Remember - the chapter 11.6 - 12 test is on Tuesday, May 18. The unit circle will NOT be on this test; however, it will be on the final exam.

Please note that the final exam review is required even if you plan on exempting the final (you must prove that you understand the material before moving on from this course).

Pre-AP Algebra II - changes due to May 19/20 EOC Exam

On May 19/20, all Algebra II classes on campus will be taking the Algebra II End-Of-Course Exam. Previously, there was a unit circle test scheduled for this date, so the calendar has been adjusted to reflect this development. There will be no unit circle test on May 19/20 - however we still plan on teaching the unit circle, and it may appear on the final exam/final review.

The percentages for the major tests/projects have been adjusted accordingly:

Conic Sections Test: 25% --> 30%
Conics Project: 10% (no change)
Sequences/Series Test: 25% --> 30%

These three major grades will still sum to 70% of the six weeks average.
