AP Stat – 2nd Six Weeks Project (bonus test grade AND retest for Ch 5-6 Test)

Updated: 4:30pm on Monday, Oct 19, 2015 - we decided to make this a bonus test grade for everybody (either a 50-pointer or a full 100-pointer, depending on how you did on the Ch 5-6 Test. Read below...)

Here is the information for the 2nd six weeks project. Please note that this project is optional; however if you failed the Chapter 5-6 Test, then this is the ONLY "retest" available.

Again: if you have a failing grade for the last major exam and wish to bring that grade up to passing, then completing this project is the only way for you to bring that grade up to passing.

Here is the project, please print out a copy:

Grading

So here's how the grade works:

If your overall test grade was below a 60:
  1. Doing this project will bring both parts of your test up to passing.
  2. You will receive a 50 point additional test grade (if done properly!).
    • Example:
Your test average after project: (70 + 50)/(100 + 50), or a 120/150 (80%) (with one more test to go on Oct 29/30).
If your overall test grade was a 60 or above:
  1. You will receive a 100 point additional test grade (if done properly!).
    • Example 1:
Your test average before project: 70/100 (70%).
After the project: 170/200 (85%) (with one more test to go on Oct 29/30).
    • Example 2:
Your current test average is a 88/100 (88%).
After the project: 188/200 (94%) (with one more test to go on Oct 29/30).
  2. In addition, either part of your Ch. 5-6 test grade that was failing will also be brought up to passing.

Let your teacher know if you have any questions ASAP!
