  • Read/skim p. 50-53 (“Shape, Center, Spread”)
  • p. 65, #3, 4 (Please use complete sentences for explanations! <– this should go without saying from now on!)
  • p. 39, #26* with the following instructions:
    • first, find the conditional distribution of hepatitis status by tattoo status (ex: find the percent of people with no tattoo who have and do not have hepatitis, etc.) and record the percents in a chart
    • next, make a decision concerning the dependence or independence of tattoo status and hepatitis status and explain your reasoning.
    • Using GRAPH PAPER, graph the data in two different ways – one way should be using a segmented bar graph (Example on pg. 29 of your textbook, also instructions are in this powerpoint file, slides 8-11) and the other graph is left up to you.

There are also two worksheets:

AP Stat – HW #6, simulation test question on Monday (read on)

First off, the homework is similar to what is on the syllabus:

  • p.313, #1, 4, 11, 18 (omit parts f, g, h for each question)
  • Read p. 296-309 (this is the addition)

And the announcement about the test…

as many of you could tell, there was no simulation question on the exam.  So… we will be giving one simulation test question in class on Monday (we will have a few minutes to study for it), and it will be worth 14 points of test #1.  This will take about 10 minutes of class.

Please contact me if you have any questions about this~

AP Stat – HW #5 (due Thursday 9/9)

In addition, choose any 3 of the following bulleted items for full credit.  If you decide to do more than 3 and your work is very carefully completed, you can receive extra points for this homework grade.
