AP Stat – HW #2 (due Thursday, 10/7)

Due this Thursday (October 7).  There is also a short quiz over Ch.5 on Thursday:

  • Ch 6 (1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 14, 16) 
  • Ch 5 (10bc – decide which set has the larger standard deviation, explain why, use your number cruncher to find the actual standard deviations)

AP Stat – HW#1 (due Tuesday, October 5)

In case you are wondering, the homework assignment numbers reset each six weeks.  Here is the first assignment of the 2nd six weeks:

  • p. 91 (Chapter 5), #7, 10a, 11, 14, 15, 17, 21, 23, 27
  • There were also two worksheets (one sheet, front and back) that we did in class (home sales, and “Mooseburgers vs. McTofu”.  If you were absent, please get it from me~

AP Stat – HW #12 (Test Review for Ch. 13, 3, 4)

This is HW #12 due Wednesday, Sept 29 (Test Day)

Listed below are six major concepts.  To receive full credit, you must pick at least 4 of them, and complete one problem from each concept that you choose (the practice problems do NOT count – those are for you to refer to in the BOB for reference).  If you feel that you need the review, then you should do problems from 5 (or even all 6) of the listed concepts!
Work must be in complete sentences and in context.  Do what you need to prepare for your test!!!
Again: “Practice” problems are optional (no credit for those)!!!  Do at least 4 of the 6 for full credit.
  1. Categorical and Quantitative Data; Discrete and Continuous Data
    For each, describe as categorical (qualitative) or quantitative (numerical).  If quantitative (numerical, also describe as discrete or continuous).

    • p. 132 #11 – construct back-to-back stemplots to compare Friday and Monday
