Algebra II (Regular) Chapter 10 Review

The Chapter 10 Exam (Conic Sections) is still a few weeks away (~April 23/24), but is one of the most difficult of the course.  To help prepare for this test, we are posting the review a bit earlier than normal:

Pre-AP Algebra II: Updated Chapter 10 assignments

As an update to the previously mentioned Chapter 10 schedule adjustments, here are the actual assignments for the rest of the chapter (so disregard the syllabus, and go by the following schedule):

  • March 28/31: Sections 10.3 – 10.4, Ellipses and Hyperbolas (due April 1/2):
    • Pg. 740; 13-33 odd, 41
    • Pg. 748; 19-31 odd, 42, 43, 44
  • April 1/2: Section 10.5, Parabolas (due April 3-4):
    • Pg. 755; 17-35 odd, 39, 41, 45, 48, 49, 50
    • Quiz over sections 10.2 – 10.3 in class (quiz postponed until April 3/4)
  • April 3/4: Section 10.6, Identifying Conic Sections (due April 7/8):
    • Pg. 764; 15-18 all, 22-31 all, 35-39 odd, 42, 51-53 (all)
    • Quiz over sections 10.2 – 10.4 in class
  • April 7/8: Chapter 10 Review Day
    • Review Assignment will be handed out in class
  • April 9/10: Chapter 10 Test (sections 10.2 – 10.6)
