AP Stat – Notes & Examples for class #31
Today is a pretty thick lesson on sampling distributions for p-hat (sample proportions) and x-bar (sample means). Chapter 18 in the textbook is your friend if you need additional enrichment. Here are the class notes and examples:
- Slides in color PDF [not print-friendly] | [Printer-friendly version]
- Example problems: Sampling Distributions with Proportions and Means
- HW #31 Problems (if you're too lazy to get your textbook)
Also, here is a link to the sampling distributions applet used in class, if anyone wishes to play around with it:
AP Stat – Probability Models “Worksheet” (#1-5 only)
Here is the problem set for HW #30. If not finished during class, #1 - 5 ONLY due the first day back from the Fall break.
(No new notes for today - this is an extension of the probability unit that we recently completed)
- Worksheet 6.1 (HW #30) - Probability Models (Do problems 1-5. The rest are only if you need extra enrichment...)
- SOME OF THE ANSWERS FOR YOU TO CHECK...
AP Stat – Review Unit V – PROBABILITY
Here is the review for the big probability exam, due on test day (scheduled for M/Tu, Nov 14/15):
AP Stat – Notes & Videos & HW Worksheet for class #25 (Binomial & Geometric Probabilities)
Today we covered Geometric and Binomial probability models. Here are the notes/etc:
- Notes: Video and/or filled-out notes | Blank copy of notes
- 17 Worksheet - Binomial PDF & CDF Practice (The first side is filled out for you. You may work the second page for additional practice - this is OPTIONAL)
- Homework (worksheet): Worksheet (HW 5.3) - Geometric and Binomial HW
And if you need additional reference material, chapter 17 in the textbook is your friend.
